Amarillo is an old school American hop variety. A dual purpose hop, as it can be used for bittering, flavour or aroma, but we feel Amarillo is best kept for flavour and aroma.
It gives an intense citrus aroma with hints of orange and tropical fruit. It can stand on it's own in a single hop beer or blend with other complimentary varieties.
It's a classic American hop for a reason, but is just as happy in an IPA or Pale Ale as in an ESB or Wheat Beer.
