Weight: 1kg - Cracked

Traditional Ale Malt is kilned at a little higher temperature than Pilsners malt which gives it a slighty darker colour and a fuller flavour. Often used for traditional English Ales but equally well suited to stouts, porters or bold pale ales and IPAs.

Recommended up to 100% of your grain bill.

EBC 5

Buy by the kilo cracked or uncracked, or a bulk bag of 25kg uncracked.

If you are looking for a custom grain bill, email your order through to grain@newcastlebrewshop.com

Just a heads up - 25kg bulk bags are too heavy for most couriers (and expensive to ship) these are currently only available for in-store pick up or local delivery (to a limited area thanks to some local legends). If you want a quote on shipping outside this area hit us up on the emails cheers@newcastlebrewshop.com

Got any Paler?

As far as pale malt goes, I have only two names to go off and their both Australian.

Joe White is a great way to support local maltsers and start your brews with a good base canvas.

Very reasonable on price and easy to work with.

Great value base malt

A wee bit more colour than a lot of regular 2 Row pale malts and a wee bit more flavour, excellent value for money!

Joe White Traditional Ale Malt

This is a high quality around Ale (Pale) Malt or Two Row as sometimes called. I have used this malt for many years and it is very consistent.

Hard to fault Malt. See what I did there. 👍
