SafCider AB-1 cider yeast has a delicate aromatic profile combining fresh apple and fruit notes. It creates a cider with a balanced mouthfeel.
This strain of this yeast is Saccharomyces bayanus and is recommended for all types of ciders even under difficult fermentation conditions.
This yeast has excellent settlement strength (High Flocculation), has a temperature range of 10 - 30°C, works at low pH from 3.3, low nitrogen requirements, very good assimilation of fructose and yield sugar/alcohol 16.3 g/l for 1% alc/vol.
